Happy CNY to all readers of this blog!!
As usual 1st day of CNY is spent in Grandpa's house. Still remember last CNY Peixin is my best companion as we SMS each other for the entire day to keep each other occupied. This year my best companion is my PSP. Chiong Legends of Heros II for the entire day, almost completed it. Did exchange a few message with princess but the conversation din really get going.
Seen many familiar faces and unfamiliar faces as usual. No real topic to talk about unfortunately so it was still quite boring. Dun know why, as one grows up the feeling of CNY is just not there. Just appears to be another normal day just that you see more people in red than usual. Am I getting old?

Went to work despite off day today, for money of course. What other reason can there be? That’s not the point of my blog today, as the title implies. If you are a non-Indian who did not pass by Douby Gauht or Little India today, most probably you will not even realize that today is Thaipusam. Or worse still, some may ask what is Thaipusam? Not to blame them, Thaipusam is not a public holiday, that’s how realistic Singaporeans are, and I myself other then knowing that it’s a festival where Indians carry the Kavadis (the structures with sharp ends pokes in to the flesh of the carrier)
Upon stepping out of Douby Gauht MRT, I had the feeling that I reached Little India instead. Swamps of Indians are parading on the road and many others gathering on the pavement and fields.
The real festive mood can only be enjoyed in the night. When I went for dinner, that’s when the real ‘celebration’ started. There’s many more Kavadis than in the day and the crowd is larger. As they parade they sang and dance, it’s really a festive scene.

This is the usually the time to write down your new year resolution for 2007. If you still have not written down your new year resolotion, this is the time to think about it. Looking back at 2006, it was a flop and I did not realise most of my resolution due to NS commitment, but this year, I would not allow it to happen again. Here's my resolution.
May yours and my wishes come true.
