Shopping @ Wisma/ Far East
Wilson posted at 11:22 PM

Finally it's my rest day today and as I've promised myself I will not do any OTs this week, therefore decided to spend it on shopping today. One shirt is simply not enough for me and I wanted to buy more shirts before GSS ends and GST rises.

Went to bugis to meet Bin for lunch first and had a nice but simple dim sum lunch at Sunshine Plaza. It's my first time eating there and the place is quite well hidden in the ulu building so I do not think that I'll ever go there if not for Bin's recommendation. Despite the obscureness, the dim sum is actually quite traditional and the prawns come in whole pieces and one new thing I found out during the lunch is that the soft bones of the ribs are actually edible.

Proceeded to Wisma to kick off our shopping trip. Bin went to Topshop to buy the dress which she saw on magazine while I went to Topman and FleshImp. Topman got no shirts which suit my liking while FleshImp did not restock the nice jacket which I saw that day. Off we go the the next destination- Far East.

Never in my life had I stepped into so many female boutique shops before as I have to accompany Bin to find a non-high heel shoe and her foot is aching after prolonged wearing of heels. Wonder why girls like to torture themselves just to look better and Bin with heels is still shorter than me. Haha. Carried on to many many female boutique shops and in comparison the few pathetic men shops. In the end, she got herself an elegant necklace and for me, nothing.

Ate the oyster mee sua at far east for dinner and poor Bin got quite a bad stomachache after eating the Mee Sua. Despite that we went to Taka to get Bin's cosmetic then back to Wisma for the last phase of shopping. Bin helped me choose a couple of shirts but after trying on found that they are not the shirts which I wanted. Later on Bin got lured by Mango's 50% discount so she went in to shop and bought more clothes and jeans there while I combed the whole Wisma to no avail.

End of the day, Bin went home $200 poorer while the $200 which I drew before the shopping trip is still intact. Nevertheless, I gained quite an insight on female's shopaholicness and how fortunate or unfortunate females are when it comes to shopping. Fortunate that they have plenty of choices and unfortunate because more choice equals more spending.

Finally my Off Day
Wilson posted at 11:32 PM

I've finally completed my 13days working streak in StarHub and today was my 3rd off day in June. Working 13days straight is tough but the night events and the lack of sleep makes it even harder to survive the working streak. Whenever I have to go out till late night, the next day I will just happen to be working morning shift, how shag can it get.

Friday was Chih's last day in StarHub and Chih was very kind to offer everyone in Green team and some in billing to dinner/supper to celebrate his farewell. Ended work at 9pm and headed off to Makansukra glutton square near esplanade for a seafood dinner. Think Chih ordered too much food and after trying hard we still could not finish all the food. Had lots of fun chatting around and making fun of Nut and Chih. It was sort of a mini IX re-union as William and Wee Lee attended the dinner as well. After the supper the remaining group of us till went on to the HK Cafe at Marina Square for drinks and chat as it was getting a little bit hot at the glutton square. Chatted all the way till close to 3am before we called it a day.

Food!!!

The Green Team guys

Next day was morning shift for me again and after work went to Demong's 21st birthday party at the chalet. It just happened that there's lots of alcohol lying around again it's the most convenient method to entertain the Green Team. After eating dinner played Indian Poker with pure Whisky as the 'incentives'. Not sure whether it was pure bad luck or poor skills that I lost at least 3 rounds and drank quite a bit of Whisky. Afterwhich break for some photo taking sessions and Demong's cake cutting session. Shortly after it's alcohol time again. We started off with the Joyce's game with guys vs girls but ended up became a guys vs Xun Bin session and was quite surprise Bin can actually hold her alcohol quite well. As more people joined we started off the traditional Cai Quan game, this time with Chivas. I managed to sabo Demong a few times until his mum pulled him out of the game. Gary did a good job making Roger drink as well and Roger was drinking Chivas like plain water and of course could not last too long and David ended drinking quite some Chivas towards the end. Either it was karma or Ruishan was too pro I ended drinking near my limit and have to plead for mercy and threatened not to take her escalations. Soon we finished the entire Chivas and Roger got wasted as well. I was deemed 'gone' by many but I think I was still slightly sober. Managed to answer all the maths question Bin tested me but she should have known that I'm a F Maths student. I took some rest to recover my soberness till around 1am afterwhich Nat sent me home. Took a shower and puked and then k.o.ed.

Happy Birthday Demong

Next morning still managed to wake up at 7plus for work. I'm quite satisfied with my body's ability to recover from alcohol and Roger have to learn from me as I had to apply for urgent leave for him as he could not make it to work. Fortunately it was quite a slack day with all the easy cases and I've finished everything by 3pm and carried on with my normal routine of acting busy for the rest of the day.

Initially planned to slack all day at home and catch up on my sleep today but plans always differ from reality. At least managed to have a 10hrs sleep last night which was such a luxury nowadays. In the morning settled some accounts and proceeded on to change my blogskin which is the one you all are seeing right now. Wanted to change it for quite some time but never found the time to do so until today. The original plan for an afternoon nap was thwarted as well as changing a blogskin took slightly longer than expected and afterwhich SM jio-ed me and slave to watch Fantastic 4. Therefore shortly after settling the blog proceeded to PS to watch the movie. F4 was an okay movie which at least I can understand despite not watching part 1. Would say that it was a typical Marvel movie but just that nowadays in movies the bad guys seem a bit weak. After the movie ZX joined us for dinner which also happened to be Wilson's birthday treat. Conveniently had dinner at Manhatten and ZX and I shared the giant seafood platter. This was the first time I had dinner at Manhatten's and overall was satisfied with the standard of the food there as well as the serving portion. Maybe next time can try their Lobster platter which I heard from quite a few of my friends was quite delicious just that the price is a bit expensive. Carried on with pool session at Paradiz before finally heading home, with a complimentary taxi ride by ZX.

Failed to have a good rest today and all I can look forward to will be my rest day on Saturday which most probably I'll be using it to rest rather than doing OT. Next four days will be morning shift as well, which will mean I will not have enough sleep tonight as usual. Guess it's just another vicious cycle of tiredness.

When Everyday is Monday...
Wilson posted at 9:23 PM

Just realised that I have not been blogging for sometime. Not that I have nothing to blog but rather quite busy with work for the past few weeks. In fact while I was thinking about when is my next off day (which happened to be next Tuesday) I tried to recall when is my last off day. After trying to recall for sometime I gave up and only upon reaching the office I realised that my last off day was actually last Monday which also means that by next Monday I would be working consecutively for 14days non-stop.

Thinking of it the past week or so had been rather tough balancing work and play. Fortunately my friends had been rather accomodating to my work shedule. Still manage to go out for some fun after work for the last 2 OT sessions. Went for an agonising bowling trip with Wilson, SM and ZX last saturaday and played quite badly but was constantly improving through the games and finally beat ZX at the last game. Yet I still did not manage to hit 100 points but I'm sure I'll hit it real soon. Missed those days in NS when I can still hit 100 points at least 50% of the time. Finally proved my worth in yesterday's badminton session. At least I was not the weakest link of the day as we tried all combinations and based on the results we found that ZX was 'not' the feeder. (This is for what you wrote about me in your blog)

Did OT once again today, after which went shopping alone for Chih's farewell present. It was a shag shopping trip as I went from Wisma to Tangs to Shaw to Heeren and finally Taka to search for the wallet. Most of the wallets I saw was either too high up the budget or not suitable for Chih and finally found a wallet which I think he will like in Taka. While looking for the wallet took some time to look at my own stuff as well but due to time constraint never really had the time to try on clothes. Saw one hoodie at FleshImp Wisma which was like so cool and on 70% and I was totally prepared to spend the last $30+ in my UOB account on it but argh, they only had the small size which I can't fit in and the Heeren branch does not have it. Sadded.

Next few days will be just as busy or even more busy and guess I'll be missing out on my beauty sleep for sometime. Working 12hrs shift tomorrow followed by Chih's dinner treat, Saturday will be Demong's birthday chalet and Sunday will be slave's birthday treat. Coming Tuesday I must really reward myself for all the hard work which I put in for the past few weeks, guess I'll go shopping again while it's still GSS.

Combined Birthday Party @ Kbox Paradiz
Wilson posted at 10:57 PM

Had a birthday celebration for Derrick, Boon, Nut, Panghao and Jacky together since their birthdays falls close together in early June. It has been quite some time since all of us got together already especially so for Val and Chee Hao who I have not seen them really for a long long time. We got a spacicous room in Kbox with projection screen and lot's of sofa and actually was the largest Kbox room I've ever went to.

It was non-stop entertainment for the entire night till 3am in the morning with many singing to their hearts' content and was especially so for the birthday boys. For myself I wasn't really in the mood to sing that night as I can't really think of songs I would like to sing therefore did not sang much that night. Other than the infamous 'Ni Hao Du' which I sang and got a bit high shaking my squadmates' hands I could hardly recall what other songs I sang. Despite that it was enjoyable listening to others sing as well. Lana sang especially well and I believe she should have a chance in PSS and also not forgetting Biao's oldies and Xinwei's english songs.

There has to be some entertainment of the non-singers as well and unfortunately for that night it was a bottle of Vodka brought in by Panghao. Ziyou got rather excited about drinking and we manage to smuggle some mixers in to go with the Vodka. At first derrick bought in F&N Blast after trying they decided that the two could not go together though it tasted fine to me. Afterwhich we got Val to smuggle in orange juice and 7-up. We tried to down Nut with vodka but he was totally unsporting therefore soon we gave up and decided to play among us some drinking games. Initially we played with little Vodka with mixer then we added on more vodka for the subsequent games and finally when the vodka was depleting we decided to play with pure vodka without ice or mixer. I lost quite a number of games and drank quite a bit and the pure vodka really tasted awful and the after taste smells of those alcohol used in clinics. The good thing is that no one got wasted that day. I realised that I have been drinking more frequently nowadays and perhaps I should cut down on it soon to avoid a liver transplant.

After the session ended at 3am some of us still felt too early to go home and went to the Lan shop for Dota sessions. All the Lan shop in Peace Centre closes latest at 3am therefore we have to walk all the way to Peninsular Centre for the gaming session. The Lan shop was surprising crowded and I wonder where all these people came from and don't they have to work the next day? Anyway we had 3 games of Dota that night. The 1st two games I was playing my usual self and lost but the last game I was owning with Naix which amazed everyone. At around 630am we left the lanshop and went to Mac for breakfast and only dispersed after that. Reached home around 8am and totally shagged but fortunately it was an off day so managed to sleep all the way till 3pm and I guess my biological clock is totally jumbled out by now.

Finally, happy birthday to all the June babies. =)

More of Green
Wilson posted at 9:00 PM

Spent 2 very happening days with the Greenies again. Seems like leaving the Green team is not much an obstacle for me to keep in contact with them. Starting off with the Vesak Day outing at East Coast Park, which I swapped shift to attend (there goes another $76.50). Fortunately weather seems to be on our side as the rain stopped soon after we arrived and we proceeded to rent the bicycles. Shared a double bike with Alycia and this is the first time I cycled a double bike. At first really not too used to it especially while we tried on in the shop but shortly after going onto the track we got used to the bike and it was a smooth journey to the NSRCC except for the occasional stuns that I try to perform on the bike which gotten Alycia rather worried.

Reached the NSRCC for a game of soccer and it have been ages since I played soccer so after playing for a while felt a bit shag already. Later on went to bully some small kids for soccer but have way have to fetch poor Theodric who received wrong directions (from me?) and end up walking long long distance. After that continued our cycling trip and stopped at the food centre for a nice but simple dinner. That marks the end of a tiring day.

Demong's Last Day

The next day was Demong's last day in StarHub and therefore in the night we went back to Timbre for a farewell party and the main purpose is of course to get Demong drunk. With Marc as his ally and Caelan's absense it's rather hard to achieve the mission. Everyone started off sharing a bottle of dry gin and after which Demong treated us to a bottle of Chivas. While we are finishing off the Chivas Demong is still surprisingly sober. Fortunately David is determined to get him down and bought a jug of beer. As good teammates of Team 100 David and me toasted Demong and shared the jug among us. Although by that time I was almost gone as I was trying to down Demong with Chivas earlier on. So we glurped down the beer and as a result me and Demong joined Natasha (who was down much earlier) to become the "Merlions of Timbre". The first time I got so wasted from the effect alcohol and got so unglam as well. No choice as there has to be someone to sacrifice to complete the team mission and at least I did not sacrifice for nothing. Fortunately at the end of the party there's Joyce to send me and Natasha home and I reached home around 2plus and puked again. Yet I'm proud of myself that I managed to wake up at 7am this morning to go to work. Just hope I did not give too much wrong info to customers today.
