For the past few weeks, my MSN nick is "To Huat or not To Huat" and guess that puzzles some of my peers. As Kym ask me, 'Why can huat dun want to huat?' However, sometimes, huat is not everything.
Basically, this question came to my mind when Pauline ask us whether we want to extend our contract in StarHub. Prior to that I know I have to make that choice sooner or later but never really thought of that. My heart is more inclined to leave StarHub, not that the job or the environment is not good enough. Just that I have other dreams. I did thought of getting a Monday to Friday, 9-5 job. It will give me more time to fufill my dreams, for example enrolling for music lessons on weekends and settling my Nomadic Technology in the evening. Yet reality is harsh, I know I will not be able to get a job that soon, let alone such a high-paying job. Therefore it's really a choice of money or dreams.
I was sent the e-mail regarding this and was expected to give a reply in less than 2 hours. I chose to follow my brain and agreed for an extension. As of today, it's more or less confirmed that I'll be continuing in StarHub. Strangely, on the night I agreed to continue, I have this dream. I dreamt that I had rented a portion of a shop to sell my PSP accessories. Guess that's why people often say that dreams are often opposite of reality.
I've to set my dreams aside for now, wonder where my 'nomadic spirit' went to. My plans is to job-hop till I enter university and hope to learn to set up a pushcart. Dreams are still dreams afterall. I'm will not say I'm filled with regrets but whether I stay or leave, it does have it's pros and con. Since I made the decision, I shall do my best. With the capital I gathered from working, perhaps I will be in a better position to follow my dreams in the future.
