IPPT
Wilson posted at 10:28 PM

All I want is a repeat of last year, passing my IPPT in SAFRA Toa Payoh, the only test centre which is still using a manual system. I even thought of scanning my result slip and publishing it proudly to show the world I passed IPPT. Yea I know passing is no big deal when everyone gets gold or silver and happily enjoying their $200/$400 of monetary incentive, but for someone who rarely passes IPPT, pass is the biggest deal.

But plans are still plans, my achilles heels - standing broadjump is back to haunt me. And this time it's a record low of 207 which I can't believe it myself. The fast few months of gym-ing has allowed me to pass my pull up and run but seems to have no effect on my jump.. ARGH. After the statics station I requested and was granted a third attempt to jump. No miracles. I told the tester I will got one week to try.

"Welcome to RT" was his reply. Screw him. 9 cms is no big deal and I shall grab every opportunity to retake my broadjump. After all I need not take all the other stations again since I passed all my other stations and running. For a start, I've booked the 0730 slot this Saturday. Freaking early but no choice. I'm desperate to not go RT. After that there's still some windows at Toa Payoh, Maju and whereever I can go. I just want to pass the freaking broadjump.

Sadly, my friends all seems to be quite happy for me to go RT. Here's the evidence.

Yeah, I know RT isn't that bad, after all "NSmen will be paid 1/2 day service pay for each RT session attended which will be credited to their bank account on a weekly basis." So good that I doubt it can even cover my transport cost nor a portion of my opportunity course. So I shall try hard, cross my fingers and hope I get the last laugh.
