My new Pro Accent finally had its first piece of action the previous Saturday after much delay due to camps and the tiller problem. But good stuffs are always worth the wait and it gotten much attention due from my teammates due to its light weight. After all, it was the only W&W bow in the team that broke the Nexus dominance and even Buffy is considering getting the bow instead of the Nexus. Not too sure if Mr Wee actually notice the bow or what was his reaction as my bow was the only bow not carried by him and if he knew that it was bought from his rival guess I'll be on his banlist, but so far so good. I think upgrading archery products is another form of addiction as Maurice, Auggy and many others just bought new upgrades over the past weekend and I'm very very tempted to get the Shibuya sight which cost around $300 I think since the normal sight can't fit onto my new bow. However, due to budget constraint, most probably I'll just get the cheap Cartel sight. How I wish I can strike toto this Friday so that I can upgrade everything at one go.
Another happy event that happened during the last weekend was my IPPT. Chose to have it at SAFRA as I thought I had no chance to pass it but miracles do occur as I actually passed it, in particular my standing broad jump, though not in the most orthodox manner. It was recorded as 222cm and I think I did reach that distance but did not manage to stay at that distance and took a few steps backwards. Another white horse privilege :). The only station I was disappointed with was the sit up station which I failed to get the full 5 points. Oh well, at least I passed. Though a standard considered low by many, I was satisfied with my results. After all, it's only the 2nd time I actually passed my IPPT. I had the motivation to keep myself fit after attending the IPPT as I see how chui the other servicemen were. Appearance-wise they look that they have not been in the sun for a long long time and the new balance shoes were the only running shoes they had. Fitness-wise I fear for the defence of Singapore as the first station wiped out one third of the participants and this is the first time I see people fell off the treadmill.
Today, I finally managed to watch Dark Knight with the archery peeps. So what if 99.9% of the people had already watched it, watching it late is still better than never watching it. It is truly deserving of all the good reviews by the media and all my friends who have watched it. Since most of the people have watched it already, nothing else need to be said.
