Oh well, seems like Wilson is quite a no life person during the hols as this is yet another archery related post. Sad but true as for the past few weeks I'm either at home or at the range. However, this event is a must-blog event because this event ended my 21years wait for a first sports medal. Being slow and weak I never got the chance to participate in any track and field events, even those inter-class events. Late is better than never and this first medal is a gold medal for the team event.A gold medal in hand but I feel rather undeserving of it though. Firstly, my performance that day was the worst in the team so my teammates brought the score up. Next, there's only 5 teams and 2 of them walk-over. Finally, the top individual archers did not participate in the team event. With all the factors on our side, it was not hard to clinch the gold medal.
My first ever sports medalThis gold medal is not the end, especially I'm now only in the standard category and I still intend to stay in the standard category for a while more to win more medals, preferably a personal medal the next time round, though it will be hard. Anyway thinking for a bow upgrade to a metal one (finally) since my current bow won't be able to compete in the next competition where the target is 50m. Settled on two W&W models at this moment: the NX Xpert and the Winact. Since Mr. Wee is not bringing both this bows, I gotta source for the bows myself, either from other clubs or even import it in myself. Regardless of which method, it is bound to burn a hole in my pocket.
