Just completed my LTB presentation and time for me to have a short breather. First time trying out something creative for presentation, by having the presentation in the form of a live soccer telecast. Having a commentary, people kicking soccer ball around and a skit to present our ideas were quite innovative, but unfortunately some were lost between fictional stuff and serious stuff. That’s something worth working about in the future. I’m going to be selfish to claim the credit for coming out with the idea, of course will have to take the blame that information are not relayed effectively to the audience. Yet I’m quite satisfied with the outcome of the presentation, and I would say that we top in creativity though lacking in content among the three groups which presented today. With this I broke out of my convention, from a fail-safe type of presenter to come out with a totally new format of presenting. Until now I still can’t believe that our group actually manage to come out with the format, the script, rehearse and present, everything within 48hrs. Wanted to say that my group is inefficient, but an inefficient group can’t possibly complete what we have done in 48hrs. Maybe we just lack sense of urgency, or rather we have no sense of urgency at all. All this while from the start until now we did everything last minute and luck has really brought us so far. I will still prefer the slow and steady method as all these last minute works are really life-consuming. Thinking of it, I guess team dynamics is most important, though I felt that my method of working does not match that of the group. At least we are better than one of the group who presented today. So super obvious that it’s a one-man show and the Singaporeans students can’t work with the foreign students at all. Putting them in charge of clicking the mouse and taking video of the presentation, that’s total discrimination man. That’s enough said for today’s presentation. Academically I guess I did not excel as I would expect. Effectively lost my A (including A-) for my management comm as I flunked one of the important assignment, and I know my chance of getting an A(or A-) for LTB. So now got to focus on my FA and TWC, the examinable subjects which I can really mug hard. Hopefully I can start my preparation on Monday. Financially wise I’m so screwed for the past week. The stocks went on an free fall and within 2 weeks 5% of my net worth is wiped off. Fortunately it’s just paper loss so with my research done I am still confident that my stocks will rebound as they have good fundamental. Strange to find that those mini set-backs don’t actually affect me and I cannot be bothered with so many things. For now, I just want to sleep. Slept only two hours last night for the presentation and reflection and I’m so tired now. Nitez.
