Finally it's my rest day today and as I've promised myself I will not do any OTs this week, therefore decided to spend it on shopping today. One shirt is simply not enough for me and I wanted to buy more shirts before GSS ends and GST rises.
Went to bugis to meet Bin for lunch first and had a nice but simple dim sum lunch at Sunshine Plaza. It's my first time eating there and the place is quite well hidden in the ulu building so I do not think that I'll ever go there if not for Bin's recommendation. Despite the obscureness, the dim sum is actually quite traditional and the prawns come in whole pieces and one new thing I found out during the lunch is that the soft bones of the ribs are actually edible.
Proceeded to Wisma to kick off our shopping trip. Bin went to Topshop to buy the dress which she saw on magazine while I went to Topman and FleshImp. Topman got no shirts which suit my liking while FleshImp did not restock the nice jacket which I saw that day. Off we go the the next destination- Far East.
Never in my life had I stepped into so many female boutique shops before as I have to accompany Bin to find a non-high heel shoe and her foot is aching after prolonged wearing of heels. Wonder why girls like to torture themselves just to look better and Bin with heels is still shorter than me. Haha. Carried on to many many female boutique shops and in comparison the few pathetic men shops. In the end, she got herself an elegant necklace and for me, nothing.
Ate the oyster mee sua at far east for dinner and poor Bin got quite a bad stomachache after eating the Mee Sua. Despite that we went to Taka to get Bin's cosmetic then back to Wisma for the last phase of shopping. Bin helped me choose a couple of shirts but after trying on found that they are not the shirts which I wanted. Later on Bin got lured by Mango's 50% discount so she went in to shop and bought more clothes and jeans there while I combed the whole Wisma to no avail.
End of the day, Bin went home $200 poorer while the $200 which I drew before the shopping trip is still intact. Nevertheless, I gained quite an insight on female's shopaholicness and how fortunate or unfortunate females are when it comes to shopping. Fortunate that they have plenty of choices and unfortunate because more choice equals more spending.
